Hudson Marvel - Chair

Hudson has been in the marketing and advertising industry for over twenty years. An expert in corporate branding, his clients have included IBM, Sprint, Cable and Wireless, Seminole Community College, Orlando International Airport, Masco Contractor Services, and Orange Blossom Fudge, among others. A strong believer in community service Hudson has served as President of School Advisory Council for Glenridge Middle School and is a member of the Sierra Club. A life long resident of Central Florida, he and his family have lived in the Audubon Park Garden District for 16 years. In his spare time he enjoys bird watching.
Hudson contributes roughly 20 hours per week to Audubon Park Garden District.

Sandy Bitman - Vice Chair

With over 18 years in the music industry, Sandy Bitman owns Park Ave CDs, a nationally recognized independent record shop. The shop has served the central Florida community for over 24 years. Furthermore, he is currently the board chair of the Coalition of Independent Record Stores, a national co-op. Over the years, he also was involved in various positions of working with the local music community through radio, promotion, and management. He has also been on the board for the Audubon Park Garden District Main Street Program as well as serving on the organizational committee.
Sandy contributes roughly 15 hours per week to Audubon Park Garden District

Mike Lothrop - Organization Committee Chair

Mike has been a Florida resident for over 29 years (the past 9 in Audubon Park) and has become increasingly involved with community service. As an active board member of Slow Food Orlando, volunteer at the Audubon Park Community Market, and Org Chair for the Audubon Park Garden District; he shares much of his free time with others who also devote themselves to projects they’re passionate about.

Mike contributes roughly 10 hours per week to the Audubon Park Garden District.

Klaus Heesch - Board Member

A 13-year resident of Audubon Park, Klaus is a creative director and entrepreneur who owns Juicy Temples—a design firm specializing in branding and interactive for Arts & Entertainment brands. Raised in Florida and a graduate of UCF, Klaus Heesch is a nationally/internationally recognized designer whose work has been honored in numerous publications and competitions—including being named as Art Director of the Year by the Orlando Advertising Federation in 2004. He has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences and events, most recently presented on the topic of SEO-smart website design at WordCamp Miami/2011. He is a proud father and husband, an avid motorcyclist who sketches infrequently and who loves to travel, and a passionate fan of the people and places that make up the Audubon Park Garden District—such a cool corner of downtown Orlando. As a final sidenote. . .An accomplished musician and songwriter, Klaus penned the only song heard in “The Blair Witch Project.” (Look/listen for it on his personal site)

Patti Cook - Board Member

Patti has more than 30 years of financial services experience and has served in various leadership positions, Branch Manager, Sales Manager, and Lending Officer.
Currently she is the Vice President/ Financial Center Leader for BB&T formerly Colonial Bank.
Patti contributes roughly 10 hours per week to Audubon Park Garden District

Kat Quast - Executive Director

Kat excels at building relationships and fostering community. She acted as General Manager of Enzian Theater for ten years. During this time, she directed The Florida Film Festival and helped evolve it from a local to regional event, gaining recognition as one of the top ten film festivals in the world by Film Threat. After that, she ran Variety Children’s Charity for three years then started Wildkat Cafe where she produced several large art, film, and music events for Bay Two and the Global Peace Film Festival.

Gabriela Lothrop - Promotions Committee Chair

Vashon Sarkisian - Board Member

Vashon has over 25 years experience as an Urban Design in the central Florida area. She has worked on projects ranging from one acre to over 25,000 acres. She is most proud of her extensive work on Baldwin Park and Horizon West here in Orlando. Her passion is in creating communities for people to live, work and play in. Vashon is a volunteer with the Lamson League Winter Park Public Library. She is past president of the Central Florida Macrobiotic Foundation where she taught holistic foods cooking classes.

She is a proud mother, world traveler, avid organic gardener, writer, and artist. She’s excited about her involvement with the Audubon Park Garden District.

Brittany Cagle - Board Member

Brittany is a Florida Registered Interior Designer and a LEED AP, BD+C. She recently moved back to
Orlando after residing in Jacksonville for fourteen years where she was an active member of IIDA and
the USGBC North Florida Chapter. Brittany started at Workscapes as a Project Manager but has recently
transitioned into an Account Executive for Workscapes, Inc.

Brittany has been working in the interior design and construction industry since 2003. After receiving
her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior design from Florida State University, she went to work for an International Design/Build Construction Company in Jacksonville, Florida. While honing her skills
working on a vast variety of projects, including several LEED Gold projects and North Florida’s first LEED Platinum Home, Brittany was a member of the company’s environmental stewardship.

Brittany believes that the best way to lead is by example and that the encouragement of the next
generation is paramount to our success. With her move back to Orlando, she stepped down from her
position on Florida State College at Jacksonville’s (FSCJ) Advisory Board for the Interior Design
Department where she also served as an Adjunct Professor since 2005. Brittany has joined the Central
Florida chapter of USGBC where she serves as the Education Chair. Brittany believes in being a hands‐on
team player and active participant in the solution.
