Parks & Gardens
Although Audubon Park is challenged by our lack of green space, it is bordered by some beautiful green parks and gardens.
Our Community Garden

Early in 2011, the City of Orlando granted the rights to use a small strip of land between the Audubon Park ball field and Winter Park Road as a shared space for community gardening. See more photos and get more info on our Garden Page.
Leu Gardens
At one end we have Leu Gardens which has fifty acres some of which include America’s third largest Camellia collection, the largest formal rose garden in Florida, and a National Historic House dating from the 1880s. In addition to the sights, there is also much to do with recurring events such as their monthly Date Night and Story Time or their Jazz’n Blues stroll.
Blue Jacket Park
At the other, we have Blue Jacket Park which served as the Orlando Naval Training center for over thirty years. In 2000, the City of Orlando designated 75 acres of the historic sight as a public park. It includes a baseball field, soccer field, a playground and much more.
Audubon Elementary Ballpark
Between Blue Jacket Perk and Leu Gardens, the Audubon Park Elementary School (currently out-of-use) has four fields for baseball and softball, run by the North Orlando Kiwanis Little League. This is the longest running, continuously sponsored little league in the world, and we’re proud to have them in our neighborhood.
